		Jae Harris has lived in the Cortland area most of her life.  She teaches English at Homer High School (her Alma Mater), lives in Homer, has one daughter and a collection of animals at home.  As an undergraduate and graduate student, Jae has had some formal training as an artist, but nothing consistent.  She has been painting with David Beale for almost two years, and has learned a great deal about techniques from him.  She welcomes any criticism of her work (bad as well as good!) as she is still learning.  She prefers watercolor, but has worked in everything from pencil, to pen and ink, to pastel, to oil.  Her favorite subject is people, but likes the challenge of cityscapes.  She is very excited about the renewed interest in the arts in Cortland County, and hopes the Art Trail will be a great success and encourage those who might be a little shy about their interests and talents to pursue them.
